We moved from Worthing to Sidmouth in Devon.

We did not get the keys for the bungalow until 4-15 pm.

The lads doing our move had arrived in Sidmouth at about 10 ish and had to kick their heels until about 4-30.

All through the wait they were cheerful and patient and when they unloaded they were careful with our possessions and offered to move anything to a different room if needed.

Great guys, good firm highly recommended.

The boys who removed were very polite and courteous, however, they did not wear face coverings or ask if we required for them to wear and being both over seventy we would have felt more comfortable if they had, however, we didn’t challenge as not sure whether they had a dispensation . We had been told they would remove on three occasions when they failed to appear and on the fourth we explained that we weren’t going to be home and would have to leave outside, and on this day it rained heavily, on returning home we saw they had not taken the packing and we’re sent a veryCurt email with accompany invoice for £100. On ringing to contest we then experienced a very belligerent telephone conversation ignoring our reasons for contesting but insisting that we had cost them money for not keeping to the terms of the contract by keeping the packing dry. We continued to explain that we had been let down on three previous occasions and had advised that we wouldn’t be here when/if they collected and were told that we were IGNORANT to leave packaging outside in the rain. We did find that extremely offensive, however, we then enquired when they were going to recompense us for the standard lamp that had been damaged in the removal which we confirmed by an email with a copy of the invoice for the cost of the lamp of £175.00 having realised that this was an amount which Worthing removals would be able to recover from insurance. We did write with an official complaint to the director and removal manager but to date have not had any feedback. Meanwhile we have had to contact our local district council to remove the wet and heavy cardboard which continues to litter our driveway. We have used P & H removals on previous occasions with no complaints whatsoever, unfortunately the experience we have suffered since Worthing removals have taken over would not merit us to recommend in the future.
